Napa/Solano Statewide
Diaper Drive

Uplift Our Community Committee, participated in Labor Gives Back: Napa/Solano Statewide Diaper Drive. There is a tremendous need for diapers for infants, toddlers, and young children. TUO donated 8,000 diapers in 2025!

Festival of the Trees

The Opportunity House Festival of Trees is a holiday fundraising event held in Vacaville, CA, to support the Opportunity House homeless shelter. Every year the event includes several activities, most notably an auction of decorated Christmas trees, with a series of events like "Cookies for a Cause," "Cocktails for a Cause," and a main "Festival Gala". The funds raised go toward providing housing, outreach, and other support services for those facing homelessness in Solano County.

Each Year Tau Upsilon Omega donates a tree for the auction with proceeds benefiting Opportunity House.

U-Can HBCU Fair

U-Can Annual HBCU Fair at Mount Calvary Baptist Church allows students to meet recruiters from 30-35 different HBCU representing hundreds of majors and professional degrees. Seniors for Solano County schools are invited and asked to bring 10+ copies of their high school transcripts, and SAT/ACT scores. Students can apply and gain acceptance with 'on the spot' admissions and scholarships during the event. The Tau Upsilon Omega Chapter of AKA supports the event each year and hands out applications for the TUO Annual Scholarship and Baccalaureate Ceremony.
