28th Annual Baccalaureate Ceremony
Congratulations Class of 2019!
Thank you for another momentous celebration as the Class of 2019
was honored during the
27th Annual Baccalaureate Ceremony.
In light of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we are saddened to report the cancelation of the Annual Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Tau Upsilon Omega Chapter 2020 Baccalaureate Ceremony.
Each year Tau Upsilon Omega takes pride in honoring the graduating senior class from the Dixon, Fairfield - Suisun, Travis, and Vacaville Unified School Districts and we offer congratulations to every single senior that is graduating this year. The world is facing a crisis that will be written about in history books and your graduation is one to be proud of regardless of the celebration surrounding it. For high school students, prom and graduation are not just random activities, they are defining moments of a generation. Seniors graduating from high school have likely visualized the experience of walking across that stage or in a baccalaureate service with tons of friends and families to cheer you on life’s next journey. The journey does not stop because you won’t experience one memory. Don’t feel sad or discouraged, maintain a positive outlook and do your best to find a silver lining. Change can come in many forms in our lives. It might come forcefully like a tidal wave, or creep along incrementally like a glacier. Although the changes during this time are difficult, it’s also for the best. Accomplishing anything great in life requires significant change that pushes us beyond our comfort zones. Tau Upsilon Omega is proud of each and every senior graduating this year. You will have many more memories to create and we hope that when you create those new memories they don’t just last for a second, but live on forever.
